“I am not able to feel comfortable with the directionless way in which the Congress Party is moving forward today. I can neither raise anti-Sanatan slogans nor abuse the wealth creators of the country in the morning and evening. That is why I I am resigning from all posts and primary membership of Congress Party,” he wrote on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

The Congress spokesperson elaborated, saying, “I am a professor of finance. After joining the Congress Party, I was appointed as the national spokesperson. I passionately presented the party’s stance on various issues to the people of our country. However, in recent days, I have grown increasingly uncomfortable with the party’s position.” Lok Sabha Elections 2024

He expressed his initial belief that the Congress, being the oldest party in the country, valued the input of young intellectuals and their innovative ideas. However, he lamented that in recent years, it became apparent that the party’s current form struggles to align itself with the youth and their fresh perspectives. Lok Sabha Elections 2024

Vallabh’s resignation letter highlights the erosion of the Congress party’s grassroots infrastructure, rendering it unable to understand  the aspirations of New India. He expresses disappointment, noting the party’s struggles to either gain power or effectively serve as an opposition force. He finds it challenging to bridge the gap between senior leaders and grassroots workers, a critical factor for political success. Lok Sabha Elections 2024

The Congress leader emphasised the importance of direct communication between party workers and leaders as essential for driving positive change within the party. Vallabh voiced criticism against the party’s current direction, highlighting concerns over contradictory positions on issues such as the caste-based census and perceptions of being against the entire Hindu society. He believes that such inconsistencies undermine the party’s core principles. Lok Sabha Elections 2024

In his resignation letter, Vallabh expressed deep disappointment with the Congress party’s decision not to attend the Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha ceremony in Ayodhya. Being a Hindu by birth and a teacher by profession, he emphasised his inability to tolerate any disrespect towards Lord Ram. He criticised certain party leaders for speaking against Sanatan Dharma (the ancient Hindu way of life), and he viewed the party’s silence on such matters as tacit approval.
